It's one thing for a chamber of commerce to brag its city has the best weather in the nation, but in this case, it is true. Blessed with more than 300 days of sunshine and temperatures nearly always in the 70s, California's second largest city is an ideal choice for an escape at any time of year.

But there's more to it than sitting in the sun. Couples find plenty of romantic allure and quiet beachside resorts. Its prime attractions, such as Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo and SeaWorld, are perfect for family.  San Diego hotels are full of the hip, boutique variety in the Gaslamp District and major conference hotels on the bay.  Regardless of why you travel, or whom you travel with, you'll find this part of Southern California to be absolutely stunning.
