Elmer’s Restaurant -Palm Springs
Elmer’s Restaurant is a Palm Springs favorite loved by locals since 1960. No matter the new shiny restaurants that pop up in Palm Springs, Elmer’s is one with the community. The loyalty from customers is inspiring and Elmer’s wears it proudly.
You will notice in Elmer’s the faces of the community from the walls to the menu. I felt so welcomed and warm during my visit there. Elmer’s feels like home.
From the good vibes I got being there to the kindness I was greeted with at the door, it’s almost too good to be true. It can’t get much better.
Oh yes it can.
Honey, we haven’t even opened the menu yet.
The Menu
And let me tell you, the menu has everything your heart desires. It was super hard for me to pick what I wanted to eat, but how could I say no to breakfast all day?
Farmer’s Market Omelette
I ordered an omelet with a side of bacon and sausage, which was a gamble for me. I never order any egg meals when I’m out anymore because they just always fail to exceed my expectations, and are always downright gross. But I was really wanting it so I decided to just go for it.
This omelette was full of flavor, and the egg was cooked perfectly. I was a bit surprised to say the least. The Farmer’s Market omelette usually comes with country gravy, but because I am Gluten Free, I left it on the side.
Beer Battered Fish & Chips
My boyfriend was really craving fish and chips and of course they had it. It was crispy and delicious!
Hot Chocolate
I know what you’re thinking. Hot Chocolate in Palm Springs?! Hear me out. On this fine afternoon it got a little thundery and rainy. I know, crazy, but it happened. So it was a tad chilly for an hour while we were eating and hot chocolate was SO the move. And being an exceptional diner, of course they had the yummiest hot chocolate.
All in All
Elmer’s is fantastic. They have thousands of rave reviews and now I know why. Everything there is delicious. From burgers to steaks, seafood and french toast, everything is tasty and made to perfection. And everything is so reasonably priced. It’s such a great place to go eat at any time of day in Palm Springs.
I had the chance to speak with the owner of Elmer’s, Jacky Donnell, who was so kind and courteous. I could really tell the passion and proudness she has for Elmer’s, and her relationship with the community. Great restaurant run by great people. And that’s rare these days.
Until next time Elmer’s, I WILL be back! Promise!
xoxo, Jess!
